Howard Zinn died on January 27th. He was one of America’s most influential historians and social activists. He wrote books and essays that set the tone for anti-war movements and activism from the Vietnam War onwards.

Amy Goodman at Democracy  Now presented an excellent tribute to Zinn. I recommend watching it and finding out more about Zinn as well as tracking down his books. It’s never too late to learn and do something. As Zinn pointed out, history is written from the bottom up. The people do have the power to change the world, if they do something.
